Türkiye’s leading defence and software technologies company HAVELSAN took part in EFES 2026 with both its operationally deployed systems and software-intensive defence capabilities.

EFES 2026 stood as one of Türkiye’s largest combined and joint military exercises, bringing together military delegations, operational units, defence industry representatives, and security professionals from different countries. Conducted in a live operational environment, the exercise provided an important opportunity to observe how command and control systems, autonomous platforms, simulation technologies, and operational concepts performed under realistic field conditions.

Within this framework, HAVELSAN’s contribution to EFES 2026 extended from planning and simulation environments to actively deployed operational systems in the field.

Within this scope, the BERTUĞ Wargame System was used during the Simulation Supported Command Post Phase of EFES 2026. Developed for computer assisted exercises, operational analysis, and decision-support processes, BERTUĞ supported the planning, preparation, and execution phases of the exercise environment. The system enabled multi-domain operational scenarios covering land, air, naval, cyber, and space domains to be evaluated within a common simulation environment.

HAVELSAN also showcased its command and control as well as mission management solutions during EFES 2026. Among these were the AICCS Air Force Command and Control Information System, and ADVENT Naval Combat Management System including underwater warfare capabilities, all contributing to real-time coordination and data exchange among land, air, and naval elements.

The ADVENT product family also included ADVENT MARTI, an airborne command and control solution designed for special mission aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial platforms. Developed to support real-time situational awareness, mission management, and Tactical Data Link-enabled operations, ADVENT MARTI extended ADVENT’s network enabled operational capability into the air domain. Together, these solutions demonstrated HAVELSAN’s integrated approach to supporting multi-domain operations across land, air, and naval environments.

One of the systems actively participating in the live exercise environment was the BARKAN-2 Unmanned Ground Vehicle, which was used in casualty evacuation scenarios. Developed in line with the operational requirements of the Turkish Armed Forces and field feedback, the BARKAN platform family stood out with its reconnaissance-surveillance, mission support, and operational mobility capabilities under demanding conditions. The Ground Surveillance Radar integrated into the new-generation BARKAN system contributed to improved target detection capability in low-visibility environments. In addition to the BARKAN-2 platform actively deployed during EFES 2026, HAVELSAN also continued its work on the next-generation BARKAN-3 configuration developed in line with operational requirements and field feedback. Featuring a modular mission architecture, operational capability in GNSS-denied environments, and an AI-supported multi-sensor infrastructure, BARKAN-3 stands out as an important part of HAVELSAN’s approach to future multi-platform operations.

For HAVELSAN, EFES 2026 represented not only a platform where technologies were exhibited, but also an operational environment where simulation infrastructures, command and control systems, and actively deployed platforms developed over the years were demonstrated together under realistic exercise conditions.
